Paracord Wrapped Mason Jar Mug
|
Throughout this tutorial we will be making a paracord wrapped mason jar. Paracord is a fun material to work with and can come in handy in many situations.
|
Step 1:
|
1. Tie a knot on the top of the mug handle. Leave about 3 feet above the knot for later use.
2. Working with the cord under the knot, bring it straight down to the bottom part of the mug handle and hold it in place with your thumb. 3. Now begin to wrap the mug, tightening as you go. 4. Wrap the mug all the way up to the knot you tied in step 1. Remember to keep it as tight as possible all the way up. |
Step 3:
|
1. Take your left working end and thread it under the mug handle over to the right side.
2. Take your right standing end and thread it under the cord you just brought over, then over the mug handle and underneath through the loop you've formed in part 1.
3. Take your new right standing end and thread it under the mug handle over to the left side. 4. Thread the left standing end and thread it under the cord you've just brought over, then over the mug handle and through the loop you formed in step 3. |
Step 4:
|
1. Repeat Step 3 until you are braided down to the bottom of the mug handle
2. Cut off your standing ends as close to the braid as you can. 3. Take your lighter and light the exposed end until it's nice and molten hot. Carefully press the end with your thumb and smoothen it out and lock it in place. 4. And you're done! Enjoy. |
